The Scientific Education and Research Institute (SERI) is an innovative and state-of-the-art medical education facility. SERI has outstanding A/V capabilities for your medical venue. This medical education facility can broadcast live surgeries or cadaver lab demonstrations from the OR or bioskills lab to our 3,000 sq. ft. amphitheater. The bioskills lab, OR, and amphitheater can all be connected simultaneously with audio and video for your specific medical device course needs. SERI has two different bio-skills labs. The bio-skills labs are supplied with a vast variety of general surgical instruments including scalpels, forceps, 4x4s, metzenbaum scissors, iris scissors, hemostats, needle holders, retractors, rongeurs, cob elevators, curettes, mallets, osteotomes, and much more. The Scientific Education and Research Institute’s bioskills cadaver lab also has endoscopes and light sources, Surgis surgical lights equipped with cameras, a microscope, drills, and saws. We have two C-arms and plenty of leads provided free of charge that are available on weekends or during the week after 5pm. We also partner with MedicaEdge, a device company that can provide bovies, suction, and additional C-arms if necessary.
The Scientific Education and Research Institute not only offers the perfect facility and technology for your medical device outreach and marketing, but also has a very friendly and accommodating staff. SERI provides several staff and many interns that can help with A/V, in the bioskills cadaver lab, or with anything else you might need. Students who attend the SERI Summer Science Camps have the opportunity to explore a wide gamut of sciences including zoology, astronomy, biology, chemistry, physics, and much more. Students will meet new friends at their four day co-ed camp held at the Scientific Education and Research Institute. The SERI program allows students to engage in activities such as anatomy dissections, tower building, taking a pulse lab, making a water distiller, making a light bulb glow with a lemon, and much more…
The camp hours are 9:00am-3:00pm each day.
